SPECIFICATION FOR 120 MINUTES RATED WOODEN FIRE DOORS MANUFACTURED USING CORE AS CENTRAL SOLID CORE/ CALCIUM SILICATE BOARDS

Alternate - 1

1. Supply of Pressed steel frames of suitable section and rebate for mounting Fire Resistant Shutters of 120 minutes rating with one coat of approved brand of anti-corrosive/anti-termite primer (if required).

a) CRCA - 16G (1.6mm thick) / 18G (1.2mm thick)                           Rmtr

2. Supply of 46 mm thick Wooden Fire Resistant Shutters of 120 minutes rating similar to the prototype tested and certified at CBRI Roorkee and conforming to IS:3614 Part II/ BS: 476 Part 22/ AS: 1530.4/ ISO: 3008 comprising of Core veneered with commercial/teak ply veneering on both the sides with hardwood/teakwood lipping all-round with heat activated intumescent fire seal strips of size 10mm x 4mm on all the sides except bottom , with one coat of approved brand of primer (if required ). The Shutters shall be mounted on suitable door frames as per Item No.1. Adtech/E-core/Passive or equivalent         Sq.Mtr

Alternate - 2

1. Supply of door frames made out of Hard wood of size 120mm x 60mm (nominal ) suitable for mounting shutters of 60 minutes fire rating ,with heat activated intumescent fire seal strips of size 10mm x 4 mm provided in grooves on all three sides of the frame with one coat of approved brand of fire resistant primer.                                                     Rmtr

2. Supply of 55mm thick non-metallic asbestos free fire resistant doors of 120 minutes rating conforming to BS: 476 part 22/IS-3614 Part 2 as per prototype tested and certified at CBRI Roorkee/Quality Marking Centre, Department of Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Haryana suitable for mounting on door frames as per item No. I. The shutters shall comprise of two non-combustible 9mm thick Calcium Silicate Board sandwiching fire resistant insulation filler, veneered with 4/3mm thick commercial ply veneering on both the faces and hardwood lipping on all the sides with heat activated intumescent fire seal strips of size 10mm x 4mm on all the sides of the shutter except bottom provided in suitable grooves, and one coat of approved brand of fire resistant primer. “Aadhunic/Adtech” Make.                                               Sqmtr

3. Painting with Fire Resistant coating of approved brand to provide Class I surface spread of flame and other properties confirming to BS: 476 part- 6 & 7 and IS 12777 in desired shade including cleaning and preparation of surface complete as per manufacture specifications.                      Sqmtr. 

Alternate - 3

1. Supply of Fire door with fire resistant paint treated wooden frame, 100x46 & with single/double 46 mm thick fire resistant flush shutter of solid core of inorganic vermiculite bonded board with a bulk density of 400 kg/M3 with wooden reinforcement at hinge lock and closer location with 120 minutes fire rating conforming to B.S 476 (Part 20 and Part 22) and I.S. 3614 Part of , with heat activated intumescent fire seal strips (imported from UK or equivalent) of size 10mmx3mm on all sides of the shutter except bottom provided in suitable grooves with stainless steel ball bearing butt hinges (100 mm x 76 mm x 2 mm) with necessary screws (suggested brand:E-CORE or Adtech or Aadhunic)

2. Rate to include wooden door frame ( hardwood Merandi) as per manufacturer's specification all complete . The door shutter shall also have a vision panel 6mm thk, 200mm x 300mm / 300mm x 300mm fire rated glass ( to be paid saperately), surrounded with fireproof treated teakwood beading, all around.
